Capacity Building Grants
ENGAGe launched a new gynaecological cancer patient group capacity building initiative in collaboration with its corporate champions partners. This initiative resulted from recommendation of the first ESGO patient seminar in 2011.
The emphasis is on sharing and exchange between gynaecological cancer patient groups in Europe and internationally; to spearhead collaboration in new initiatives and strengthen existing ones, while avoiding duplicate efforts.
There were two grants awarded in 2013 to the following organisations:
1. Ovacare Ireland and Supporting Ovarian Cancer Knowledge (SOCK)
2. Anti Cancer Society Sombor Serbia and League Against Cancer Osijek
