Patient Advocacy Seminars
General information
The Patient Advocacy Seminar is an annual event organized by ENGAGe, specifically designed for patients experts and patient advocates. By bringing together advocates from all over Europe, the event provides a platform for education, networking, and collective empowerment. It equips participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively represent patient interests, influence healthcare policies, and improve the overall quality of support available to individuals affected by gynaecological cancers globally.
Programme
The seminar is structured as a comprehensive two-day programme designed to balance scientific education with collaborative workshops. The first day focuses on high-level scientific content, delivered by leading ESGO clinicians. This ensures participants gain accurate insights into current medical advancements. The second day focuses on the sharing of best practices among advocacy groups. This includes interactive workshops, round tables, which allow attendees to collaborate on strategies for their organizations.
ESGO & ENGAGe
Since 2025, ESGO has permanently established at least one dedicated scientific session presented by ENGAGe within the official programme of the ESGO Congress. These sessions ensure that the mutual dialogue between clinicians and patient experts remains a structured, ongoing component ESGO Congress.
Grants
To support the attendance of its members and reduce financial barriers, ENGAGe offers a comprehensive travel grant program. ENGAGe members can apply for financial support, which fully covers the registration fee, accommodation, and travel expenses. This financial support is designed to ensure that diverse advocacy groups, regardless of their budget constraints, have the opportunity to participate, contribute to the discussions, and bring valuable knowledge back to their local communities.
