All cancer patients may face stigma, but due to societal and cultural factors including misogyny, ageism, or taboos about discussing reproductive organs, it may be even more frequently endured by patients who have been diagnosed with gynecological cancer.
In 2024, we will work to identify and erase the stigmas around gynae cancers that are deeply rooted in our societies.
We’ll share evidence, facts & real examples from all over the world.
We will explore the topic of stigma in different gynaecological cancers with appropriate quotes, and patient stories. Through fact-based statements and clear communication we will try to lift the heave burden of stigma that cancer patients have to face.
