The Ovarian Cancer Commitment (OCC) aims to be the catalyst for a new era of innovation, by bringing together stakeholders to ignite a behavior change, delivering progress and science to create a new revolution for the diagnosis and management of ovarian cancer. The OCC recognises the power of community and is committed to delivering a collective voice for people living with ovarian cancer and the challenges they face, so that together we can support the earlier diagnosis and treatment of this disease and deliver better survival outcomes. The OCC will rally and unite communities to pledge their commitment and implement tangible actions to improve the quality of life for people living with ovarian cancer, providing a vital platform for their voices to be heard and their issues to be addressed. A focus of the OCC is to investigate support services needed by people with ovarian cancer and their healthcare teams to access rapid diagnosis and specialized care – addressing knowledge, access, and healthcare delivery gaps – and providing a platform to connect people, information and resources to support better quality of life.
