Dear ENGAGe members,

2020 has started and the work in ENGAGe is ongoing.

Our work over the past three years has provided me with a solid foundation in our network. My goal as co-chair is to continue our ongoing projects and add new ones that can further strengthen us and our knowledge. Life is continuous learning—and we need this knowledge to achieve results together and individually so we can do better work for the women we represent.

To help us see our path even more clearly, ENGAGe was organizing a strategic meeting for the Executive group to identify the organization's vision, mission, and identify our capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses. We will share the results with you during the Patient Advocacy Seminar in Copenhagen, at the next meeting of the General Assembly.

Murat and I also plan to make minor changes to the organizational structure and will be setting up new committees to develop the skills we need to do our job, and, more specifically, to deal with a particular patient area. We need to strengthen each other spiritually because the road we are going through is sometimes very difficult. And even if we sometimes lose our enthusiasm and our strength, we have to help each other through it—we are a team!

I hope you got the email I sent you a week ago, in which I asked you to take part in our 'Member Book'. You have been so active in the responses, thank you! I would like to ask those who haven’t sent it yet to please send it me. This 'Book' will help us arrange projects more easily so we can invite you to participate!

We also want to thank you all and specially to the Executive Group members for all the past and present work, without your support, nothing would work.

If you have any questions or would just like to get in touch, you can write to us anytime! Please contact us here: ico.toth@esgo.org or mrtgultekin@yahoo.com.

See you in Copenhagen!
